Where things stand

No formal audit has been carried out, so this page claims no conformance level. What follows is what has actually been done and what is known to be missing — checked by hand, not asserted.

What is in place

• A skip link as the first focusable element, so a keyboard visitor does not have to tab through a grid of cards to reach the content.
• Visible focus outlines on every interactive element, in the accent colour rather than the browser default.
• Every player is a real button with an accessible name, reachable and operable from the keyboard — and pressing it moves focus into the player rather than dropping you back at the top of the page.
• Animation and transitions are reduced to nothing when your system asks for reduced motion.
• Thumbnails are marked decorative rather than given invented alt text, because the show title sits next to every one of them and hearing it twice is worse than not hearing it.
• Headings run in order on every page type, and each list of shows is a real heading level below the page title rather than skipping one.
• Text meets the 4.5:1 contrast minimum — including on the cards, whose slightly lighter background is the harder of the two surfaces and was the one that failed longest.

Known problems

• Some borders are fainter than they should be. The outline that makes the genre pills and the save button read as controls measures about 1.4:1 against the background, well short of the 3:1 wanted for that job. The text inside them is legible; what is weak is the ring that says they can be pressed.
• The sequences have no captions or transcripts. They are largely music and image, and no text alternative is offered for either. If you cannot hear a theme, this site does not currently describe it to you.
• The video player is not ours. Once you press play, the controls belong to the video host, and their keyboard and screen reader behaviour is outside what this site governs.
• The site is dark only. There is no light theme, which suits some visual needs and not others.

If something blocks you

A specific report — the page, what you were using, and what happened — is far more useful than a general one, and will be acted on. Tell us. If something here stops you reaching a sequence, say so and it will be prioritised over the rest of the list.
