What this site holds, and what it does not

No video is stored here. Every sequence plays from the host it was uploaded to, on that host’s player, and the rights in it belong to whoever made it — studios, networks, composers and the designers of the titles themselves. What this site holds is the catalogue around them: which show, which seasons, what changed and why it was worth recording.

That distinction decides where a complaint is best aimed. If the objection is to the upload existing at all, only the host can remove it, and a notice to them is the one that has any effect. If the objection is to this site listing it, that is ours to fix, and the rest of this page is how.

Asking for an entry to be removed

Write to the contact address, with Takedown in the subject line. A notice is easiest to act on when it contains:

• The page or pages in question, by address.
• The work you hold rights in, identified clearly enough that we can tell which sequence you mean.
• Who you are, how to reach you, and on whose behalf you are writing if it is not your own work.
• A statement that you believe the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law, and that what you have told us is accurate.

You do not need a lawyer to write to us and you do not need to use any particular form of words. A plain email naming the page and the work is enough to get it looked at.

What happens next

Entries are removed first and discussed afterwards. Given that everything here is somebody else’s work, an entry sitting live while a disagreement is worked through is the wrong way round, and the cost of removing one is a gap in a catalogue rather than anything worse.

You will get a reply saying what was removed. If we think a removal was mistaken — a complaint about a show from somebody with no rights in it, for instance — we will say so rather than quietly restoring it.

If your entry was removed and should not have been

Tell us, at the same address, why you believe the removal was wrong. If the original complaint turns out not to hold, the entry goes back and the page history will show that it did.

Repeated notices

Nobody has an account here that publishes anything, so there is no contributor to suspend. Where a source repeatedly turns out to have no right to what it uploaded, we stop linking to that source rather than handling it one entry at a time.

A note on what we think we are doing

This catalogue exists to record how television title sequences change between seasons, and to send people to the sequences themselves rather than to reproduce them. Linking and embedding is how it does that. If you hold rights in something here and would rather it were not listed, that is reason enough — you will not be asked to argue the point.
