👋 Who we are

TVTitles (tvtitles.net) is a free catalogue of television title sequences. It is operated by Yarkii LLC, which is the controller of the personal data described here. Questions and requests go to support@yarkii.com (also on the contact page).

⚡ Summary

• You can use the whole site without an account and without agreeing to anything.
• We ask before any optional cookie is set, and the answer starts as no.
• The site shows no advertising. It uses Google Analytics, with your consent, to understand which pages are used.
• We never store your IP address in our own records, and we never store your name, email address or photo, even when you sign in.
• We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing email.

📋 What we collect and how we use it

1. Pages you view (only if you agree to measurement)

• What: the path of each page you open, the time, a random visitor identifier your browser creates and keeps in local storage, and, for the first page of a visit, the website that sent you (domain and path only) plus any campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign). Query strings are removed, so nothing you type into a search is kept. No IP address is stored.
• Why: to count which shows and pages are used, and where visitors come from, so we know what to add and improve.
• Legal basis: your consent.
• Kept for: 13 months, then deleted automatically.
• Shared with: nobody. It stays in our own database.

2. Google Analytics (cookies only if you agree to measurement)

• What: Google Analytics loads once you first scroll, tap or type, or ten seconds after a page opens. With your agreement it sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that recognise your browser across visits, and it records the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and your approximate location derived by Google from your IP address.
• Without your agreement it still loads, but in Google’s Consent Mode with storage denied: no cookies are set and no identifier is kept. Google may receive cookieless signals (the page and your browser’s request details).
• Why: audience measurement: how many people use the site and which pages they use.
• Legal basis: your consent.
• Kept for: cookies last up to 2 years; Google keeps the event data for no more than 14 months.
• Shared with: Google, as our processor. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

3. Your account (only if you choose to sign in)

• What: sign-in is with Google. We receive an identity token, keep only the opaque account identifier Google issues for this site, and discard your name, email address and profile picture immediately; they are never stored. We then keep a made-up display name generated for you, the avatar you pick from our set, the time of each sign-in, your saved shows (favourites), and your star ratings.
• Why: so your favourites and ratings follow you between devices, and so we can count sign-ins.
• Who can see it: your favourites appear on a public page at /u/YourDisplayName. Ratings are only ever shown as part of a show’s average; nobody can see what you gave.
• Legal basis: providing the features you asked for (contract).
• Kept for: as long as the account exists. Delete it yourself at any time from Settings (see how).
• Shared with: nobody, beyond Google confirming who you are at sign-in.

4. Show suggestions (only if you send one)

• What: the show title and any details you type, linked to your account identifier.
• Why: to consider adding the show. We are notified by an email that names you only by your generated display name.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the catalogue.
• Kept for: until the suggestion has been dealt with, or until you delete your account.
• Shared with: our email provider (Resend), which delivers the notification to us.

5. Emails you send us

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply and deal with what you asked, and keep them for as long as that takes.

6. Server and security logs

Like every website, our servers and our network provider (Cloudflare, which protects the site and speeds it up) record each request: IP address, time, page requested and browser type. These are used only to keep the site running and to stop abuse, are not used to build profiles, and are kept only for a short period.

7. Videos and images from YouTube

Thumbnails are loaded from YouTube’s image servers, so your browser contacts Google to fetch them. Videos stay a still image until you press play; only then does the player load, from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) domain, and Google’s privacy policy applies to the playback.

📢 Advertising

This site shows no ads and loads no advertising code, so no advertising cookies are set and nothing about you is used to target ads. Google Analytics is told not to store or read advertising identifiers. If that ever changes, this page will say so, with how to opt out, before any ad appears, and you will be asked first.

🍪 Cookies and local storage

Set by this site, necessary for the features they belong to, and never used for advertising:

• Session (only if you sign in): records that you are signed in. 30 days.
• Sign-in safety (tv_g_state, tv_g_next): protect the sign-in round trip and remember the page you started from. 10 minutes, cleared when sign-in completes.
• Saved shows (tv_favourites): an older, signed copy of a signed-in visitor’s saved list, moved to our database the next time it is used and then cleared. Up to a year.
• Your consent answer, kept in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) so we don’t ask again on every page.
• Visitor identifier (local storage, only if you agree to measurement): the random id used by our own page counter. Deleted as soon as you withdraw.

Google Analytics cookies are described above. The cookie policy lists every cookie, who sets it and for how long.

🤝 Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the services that run the site:

• Google: Analytics, Google sign-in, and YouTube thumbnails and players.
• Cloudflare: network delivery and security for every request.
• Resend: delivers the notification when you suggest a show.
• Authorities, if the law requires it, or to protect the site and its visitors from fraud or abuse.

Some of these companies process data in the United States and other countries. Where data from the UK or EEA is transferred, it is covered by the providers’ standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

🎛️ Your rights and choices

• Change your consent at any time with the controls below or on the cookie policy, which is linked from the footer of every page.
• See what your account holds on your account page.
• Delete your account and everything under it yourself, at once, from Settings, in the website or the Android app. How, and what is deleted.
• Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion of anything we hold, or object to or restrict its use, by emailing us. Tell us your generated display name so we can find it. We reply within one month and never charge for this.
• Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, we honour it as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal data, of which there is none today.
• California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of the “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
• UK and EU residents may also complain to their data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

We apply the strictest of these rules to everyone: nothing optional is stored until you agree, refusing is as easy as agreeing, and ignoring the question counts as refusing.

🛡️ Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Account data is kept in an access-controlled database on our own server, and we keep as little as possible: no names, email addresses, passwords or payment details are stored, so there are none to lose.

🧒 Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has signed in, email us and we will delete the account.

📝 Changes to this policy

If the site starts collecting something new, or uses data in a new way, this page is updated in the same release and the date at the top changes.
