Dead Like Me
Reapers, toast and small municipal death — an opening that treats the afterlife as clerical work, which is the joke the series runs on.
Dead Like Me opens with a main title sequence of 61 seconds.
At 61 seconds, it opens well above the 38-second median for comedy sequences in this catalogue.
It arrived on Showtime in 2003, when Twin Peaks, Stargate SG-1 and Queer as Folk (US) were also on the network.
