Hannibal
A figure forming out of blood in water, on network television at ten o'clock. Twenty-one seconds, and among the most beautiful things any broadcast network has aired.
Hannibal opens with a main title sequence of 21 seconds.
At 21 seconds, it opens well under the 50-second median for horror sequences in this catalogue.
It arrived on NBC in 2013, when Mad About You, Will & Grace and The Biggest Loser were also on the network.
