Happy Valley
Sally Wainwright's Calder Valley series, which opens with almost nothing and is all the bleaker for it.
Happy Valley opens with a main title sequence of 34 seconds.
At 34 seconds, it opens well under the 47-second median for crime sequences in this catalogue.
It arrived on BBC One in 2014, when A Question of Sport, Postman Pat and Crimewatch were also on the network.
