House of Cards
Washington in time-lapse, shot at dusk and left to run — monuments, traffic and cloud moving over a city where nothing visibly happens. Jeff Beal's theme does the menace.
House of Cards kept one opening title sequence, 104 seconds long, across seasons 1–6.
At 104 seconds, it opens well above the 50-second median for drama sequences in this catalogue.
It arrived on Netflix in 2013, when Mystery Science Theater 3000, Arrested Development and Top Boy were also on the network.
