Benson
The Soap butler promoted into his own series and eventually into the lieutenant governorship.
Benson kept one opening title sequence, 62 seconds long, across season 2.
At 62 seconds, it opens well above the 38-second median for comedy sequences in this catalogue.
It arrived on ABC in 1979, when One Life to Live, All My Children and The Bugs Bunny Show were also on the network.
