Mare of Easttown
Delaware County in winter — vinyl siding, chain-link, a quarry — over Lucius's 'Drunk'. Thirty-four seconds that refuse to make the place look like anything but itself.
Mare of Easttown opens with a main title sequence of 34 seconds.
At 34 seconds, it opens well under the 47-second median for crime sequences in this catalogue.
It arrived on HBO in 2021, when Curb Your Enthusiasm, In Treatment and The Jinx were also on the network.
