Terry and June
Suburban misunderstanding for eight years, and the programme most often used as shorthand for what alternative comedy rebelled against.
Terry and June opens with a main title sequence of 49 seconds.
At 49 seconds, it opens well above the 38-second median for comedy sequences in this catalogue.
It arrived on BBC One in 1979, when A Question of Sport, Grandstand and This Is Your Life were also on the network.
